Hot Chard Salad

Recipe:  Hot Chard Salad

AMT  UNIT INGREDIENTS   PROCEDURES      
3    cloves Garlic, chopped  
2    Tblsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1. Combine EVOO and garlic in a wok over medium-high
6    cups * Chard, shredded (used 5 large leaves) heat.  
2    cups * Turnip Leaves, shredded (from 3 turnips) 2. Add all the greens and quickly saute (2 to 3 minutes)
    till greens turn bright.  
    3. Remove from heat immediately. Serve warm, sprinkled
    with sea salt.

Soy Pork Butt

Recipe:  Soy Pork Butt

AMT  UNIT INGREDIENTS PROCEDURES
1 1/4 pounds Pork Butt Seak
 1/4 cup Safflower Oil or other light oil
 1/4 cup Tamari Sauce
2    cloves Garlic, peeled & minced
 1/2 teasp Korean Chili Flakes (hot) 1. Combine all ingredients in a small baking dish and put
in a 250 degree preheated oven. 
2. After 1 hour in the oven, remove dish to turn pork over.
Return to oven.
3. After 1 more hour in the oven, turn heat up to 350 for
30 minutes
4. Remove from oven, pull apart pork using two forks.
Serve
This is the same basic recipe I have used for a long time. I never used to cook much pork and
I think next time I will use less oil. I think that was mostly necessary when I used cuts of beef 
that did't have much of their own fat. These pork steaks certainly have enough fat of their own!

Honey and Almond Oatmeal

Recipe:  Honey and Almond Oatmeal

AMT  UNIT INGREDIENTS PROCEDURES
 1/2 cup Whole Raw Almonds 1. Best to rinse, sprout for 24 hours, then remove skins
If you don't have time to sprout, just rinse the almonds,
bring them to a simmer in about an inch of water in a
small saucepan, then drain and remove skins.
2. Run a knife through the almonds to roughly chop
 1/2 cup Old-fashioned Rolled Oats
1 1/2 cups Water
1    tblsp Flax Seeds
 1/4 teasp Salt 3. Combine oats, water, flax seeds & salt in saucepan, 
simmer for 3-5 minutes till oats are to desired softness.
4. Transfer to serving bowl
5. Stir in almonds
1 to 2 tblsp Raw Honey 6. Drizzle honey over oatmeal to taste
7. Serve / Eat
